Wishlist
Save products for later and get automatic email alerts when out-of-stock items come back.

The Wishlist feature lets you save products you're interested in and receive automatic email notifications the moment an out-of-stock product becomes available again.
Adding to Your Wishlist
You can add any product to your wishlist from two places:
- Product Card on the Home Screen — tap the heart icon on the card
- Product Details Screen — tap the heart icon in the top-right corner
The heart icon fills with pink when the product is wishlisted, and returns to outline when removed. Tapping again toggles the wishlist state.
Viewing Your Wishlist
From the bottom navigation bar, tap "Wishlist" (heart icon) to open your Wishlist Screen.
The Wishlist Screen shows all saved products with:
- Product image
- Name and category
- Price
- Current stock status
- Quick "Add to Cart" button (enabled when in stock)
- Remove button
Stock Status in Wishlist
Each item shows its current stock level prominently:

| In stock | Green "In Stock" label |
| Low stock | Amber "Only N left" warning |
| Out of stock | Red "Out of Stock" label + "Notify Me when available" hint |
Back-in-Stock Email Alerts
This is one of BabyShopHub's most powerful features. Here's how it works:
- You wishlist a product that is currently out of stock
- Your email address is saved in the Firestore
wishlistscollection linked to that product - When an admin restocks the product (stock goes from 0 to any positive number), BabyShopHub automatically:
- Queries all emails registered in the
wishlistscollection for that product - Sends each person a personalized restock alert email
- Queries all emails registered in the

Managing Wishlist Items
- Remove from Wishlist: Tap the heart icon again on either the wishlist screen or the product card/detail page
- Add to Cart: Tap "Add to Cart" directly from the Wishlist Screen when the item is in stock
- Removing an item from the wishlist also removes your email from the restock alert list for that product
Notes
Wishlist data is stored in Firestore (wishlists collection) and persists across sessions and devices. Your wishlist is tied to your account email.
If you are not logged in, wishlist actions are tracked locally only (with a fallback email of anonymous_parent). Log in to ensure your wishlist is synced and you receive restock alerts.
